Astronomy in the Park
Now happening in a Park near you!

What is it?
Star-Nite Astronomy is currently hosting “Astronomy in the Park” lessons. Groups meet once a month (every 5 weeks) to learn about the objects in the night sky: stars, planets, nebula, galaxies, and more. Lessons will generally last between one to two hours. The best part is, Star-Nite provides the telescopes and everything else you need! Take note: this is not a star-party. Participants learn how to use the telescopes themselves and about the amazing objects in the night sky as well.
Where does it meet?
Astronomy in the Park currently meets in Georgetown, Leander/Liberty Hill, and Star-Nite’s hometown of Taylor. Star-Nite also offers Astronomy in the Park as a class through the City of Lakeway Activity Center and through Dripping Springs Parks & Community Department.
What does it cost?
Cost is $15 per participant age 10 and up. Below 10 may attend free with a paying parent. Participants under 16 must have a parent present to participate. Attendance is currently limited to 10-12 participants.
