This Star-Nite Featured Session is all about the Moon!

Up to 6 of Star-Nite’s Telescopes will be spotted on the Moon!

Participants will learn about and see locations on the Moon, such as the Sea of Tranquillity, and can learn the names of major craters.

Host can answer questions and help all participants.

Activities vary based on the Moon phase and time of day or night.

Up to 4 of Star-Nite’s telescopes are set up and made available for participants to observe through.

Host will spot objects in the telescopes, participants just have to look through them.

Host onsite to answer questions and explanations for what is being observed.

Best for larger events or when Star-Nite is an addition to other attractions or activities.

Up to 6 of Star-Nite’s telescopes are setup and participants use them on a guided tour of the night (or early morning) sky, led and aided by the Host.

Participants can rotate through the available telescopes.

Tour can be adjusted for a specified length of time.

Best for smaller events or when participants can form groups to go through the sky tour on a schedule.

In a small group setting, participants are instructed in the basics of astronomy, and use up to 6 of Star-Nite’s telescopes to view the objects they are learning about.

Lesson topics include the Moon, planets, nebula, types of stars, star clusters, and even galaxies, depending on the objects viewable at the time of the event and the ages of the participants.

Best as a one-time sign-up event or with cohorts that will meet regularly.

Just like home-exercise equipment, many telescopes are purchased, used once, and then sit in garages or closets unused.

This is an opportunity for participants to bring their own telescope, learn how to use it, and discover what there is to see.

Host on hand to teach attendees how to use their telescopes, and challenge them to find different objects in the night sky.
